Our licensed, experienced Respiratory Care specialists provide diagnostic, therapeutic and educational services.  They are trained and educated in the field of oxygen therapy, pulmonary function testing, and the operation of equipment to assist and control breathing. 

The Respiratory Therapists at Hutchinson Area Health Care understand the unique needs of patients suffering from respiratory illnesses and conditions, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or emphysema. 

In addition, they provide care for patients throughout the hospital who experience breathing difficulties. 

Respiratory Therapists evaluate and treat all types of patients, ranging from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people who are affected by a variety of pulmonary disorders. 

Respiratory therapists provide care to patients with chronic conditions, as well as emergency care to patients who experience a sudden breathing problem due to heart attack, stroke, drowning, shock or other situation.
